Sheikha Latifa: Emirati Women Are the Foundation of Society and Pioneers of National Success

Whilst Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority – Dubai Culture has commended the outstanding achievements of Emirati women noting that they are no longer in the Empowerment stage, but have moved to the Competitiveness stage, even globally so. Sheikha Latifa, mentioned the subject of Emirati women showed that they have endeavored and created a sustainable future through their leading roles and determination, thus were great role models.

Sheikha Latifa said, “Today Emirati women have demonstrated their capability in managing all responsibilities, excel in generating opportunities as well as converting challenges into successful stories in all sectors at national, regional and international level, Emirati women are the treasure of the nation, nurturing a bright, promising next generation of leaders. ”

Her Highness also expressed deep respect for Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, recognised she was rather influential. Being the Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and the Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, Sheikha Fatima has been very supportive in availing every possible chance to the women to optimize their capacity in various fields. Sheikha Latifa mentioned that the wise leadership of UAE has developed a special strategy on female’s role, her freedom and opportunities, and her position in the world.

This visionary support has helped empowered the Emirati women to become the sample of the nation, carrying out the diplomatic role professionally and with pride. Not only has the leadership advanced the status of women in the nation, but this gender has been also placed under the importance and contribution to the UAE’s development and the world.

Such comments from Sheikha Latifa encourage Emirati women in the society as they are seen as indispensable support in the nation’s progress and are rightfully called the backbone of the UAE.
