Dubai to Host Major Baseball Events Featuring National Teams from India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan

In the region of Middle East and South Asia, Dubai plans to host three major spectacle related to baseball. Baseball United on 1st of August said the city will be hosting a string of elite baseball championships as the sport returns in style to Dubai after featuring in the last November series.

The first event will be the Arab classic for eight national teams where there supremacy in the Arab region will be determined. The biggest baseball national team event in the region is set to be witnessed by audience with the competition featuring teams from United Arab Emirates India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Nepal. The Arab Classic is scheduled to be held between the 7th and the 10th of November in the year 2024, rules apply the same as the WBC but with certain changes at the regional level.

There will be the Baseball United Cup coming to the stadiums in February 2025 with the teams consisting of professional players including the former participants of the MLB, and local players. Teams affiliated to cities in the UAE, Pakistan, and India are Arabia Wolves from Dubai, Mid East Falcons from Abu Dhabi, Karachi Monarchs from Pakistan and Mumbai Cobras from India. This round-robin tournament will start on 22nd February up to the semi-final match and the final match to be held on 1st march the.

Also, new league season that will include the above teams plus the newly introduced Riyadh based team will commence. This inaugural season will have each team play 12 regular season matches, and four teams will qualify to play two semifinals, and the winners of the two semifinals will play to determine the champion in a best-of- three series. All the 33 matches will be played in 32 days in Dubai.

The first Baseball United showcase received the signal in 127 nations, with a coverage of 200 million households. Tickets for the Arab Classic music will be out early next month more details will be communicated to the public.
