# Dubai to Host Baseball Events: India, Pakistan & Bangladesh
Dubai is gearing up to host three major baseball events across late 2024 and early 2025, cementing the city's growing status as a hub for the sport in the Middle East and South Asia. Baseball United announced on August 1 that an elite run of championships is coming to Dubai — the sport's return after its well-received debut in the city last November.
Baseball United Arab Classic: Eight Nations, One Champion
The centrepiece of the 2024 schedule is the Baseball United Arab Classic, the biggest national-team baseball tournament ever held in the region. Eight countries will compete for regional supremacy: the United Arab Emirates, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Nepal.
The Arab Classic is scheduled for November 7–10, 2024, in Dubai. The competition follows World Baseball Classic rules with adjustments for the regional format. Tickets go on sale in early August, with further details to be announced by the organisers.
Baseball United Cup: Franchise Teams Tip Off in February 2025
The Baseball United Cup arrives in February 2025, featuring four franchise clubs made up of former MLB players and local talent. The competing sides are:
- Arabia Wolves — Dubai - Mid East Falcons — Abu Dhabi - Karachi Monarchs — Pakistan - Mumbai Cobras — India
The round-robin tournament tips off on February 22 and runs through to the semi-finals and final on March 1, 2025.
Full League Season: A Fifth Team and 33 Matches
Following the Cup, a full inaugural league season will get underway. A new Riyadh-based franchise joins the original four teams, bringing the total to five. Each side plays 12 regular-season matches; the top four advance to two semi-finals, and the semi-final winners meet in a best-of-three championship series. All 33 matches will be played over 32 days at the Baseball United Ballpark in Dubai.
Growing Broadcast Reach
The scale of ambition is backed by proven global interest. The first Baseball United showcase was broadcast to 127 nations, reaching 200 million households — figures that underline the league's rapid rise since its launch.
Fans eager to attend the Baseball United Cup or the league season can register on the Baseball United website, where the organiser has opened a waiting list ahead of the formal ticket release.
