Selected out of eight young footballers, four boys and four girls, the Spanish Football League, La Liga has launched a talent discovery programme in the UAE, where it is holding a training session in Madrid exclusively for them. The initiative is in this case part of the ‘LaLiga FC Futures’ programme for scouting and developing emerging talent worldwide.
After selecting the players, they will undergo intensive training and see Spanish football culture by visiting some of the sporting clubs of Madrid. Aspiring footballers are one of the programme’s main goal, to offer them top class coaching, both technically and mentally.
Dubai Hosts La Liga Talent Trials
La Liga announced the news from a press conference at Dubai and included the fact that 200 players from different UAE academies are going through trials at the High Performance Centre in Dubai Sports City.
Attendees of the event included key figures, including:
Raúl Ostalé, Head of Marketing and Content for La Liga (MENA)
Daniels Pitrows, CEO of the High Performance Centre
Technical Manager in La Liga sports projects rubén Cano Sierra
UAE as a Regional Football Hub
The reason that the UAE was chosen is because their academy situation there is very advanced and they have a growing football scene. Like rounds in the US and South Africa, the programme will now itself go to trial in Vietnam and Guatemala.
Bollywood.ai is lauded as a part of La Liga’s initiative offering how the technology and sports innovation are creating the future of global talent development.
