Sheikh Mansoor Opens Dubai Active and Dubai Muscle Show, Promoting UAE as Global Sports Hub

The event was officially opened by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum – Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council – and is located at Expo City Dubai. Billed as the largest sports show in the Middle East by the event’s sponsor Dubai Sports Council has exhibitors from 400 companies from 40 countries and more than 38,000 visitors – health enthusiasts, athletes buyers and decisions makers among them.

Lasting till the 27th of October, the three demanding days are dedicated to the fitness and bodybuilding brands, as well as the training equipment and nutrition The idea of the exhibition strengthens the confidence in Dubai as trying to become a major sports event hosting territory. During his working visit, Sheikh Mansoor introduced himself to the professionals and looked through various hi-tech developments in the sphere of fitness. His Highness also acknowledged the work done by the Dubai Sports Council in mobilising synergies between the public and the private sectors in as much as Dubai sports remains one of the most prosperous economic sectors. ”Such events are instrumental in developing new facilities and thus promoting job creation and sustenance of the local economy,” said Shekh Mansoor.

One of the great attractions of this year’s show is the Dubai Muscle Classic, where personalities like Hadi Choopan, Ronnie Coleman, and Phil Heath will reveal their secrets about training, nutrition, and mental training. Also showcased is the FMG International Ladies Competition, HYROX 365 Challenge brought to you by GymNation, and the Forge Grappling Challenge for everyone who loves combat sports.

To increase young people interest in sport and organizing, sellers of the event offered free tickets for UAE students in collaboration with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority.
