Team Abu Dhabi Begins 2025 UIM F2 World Championship in Italy

Team Abu Dhabi will open its 2025 UIM F2 World Championship challenge this weekend with the season opener and Brindisi in Italy when the first the points will be scored this Saturday, June 28. The team competes under the label of Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club and has formed part of the international powerboat racing circuit with optimization of win in the current season.

Five time world champion Rashed Al Qemzi will be in the spotlight in his boat number 1 and his teammate Mansoor Al Mansoori will be in boat number 35. Both riders made a significant difference to the exceptional Team Abu Dhabi 2024 season when Al Qemzi won the championship and Al Mansoori finished in third overall.

The UIM F2 World Championship is an international motorsport championship, organised by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) and it consists of five competitive race events around Europe and the Middle East. Upon Italy, the series will proceed to Lithuania, Norway, and Portugal, which ends in UAE later this year.

Brindisi has a crowded weekend programme in the opening round. Saturday, June 28, sees the commencement of official qualifying with Q1 at 17:00 (local time), then Q2 at 18:15 and finally Q3 commencing at 18:30 and running until 18:50 to establish the starting grid. On Sunday, 29 th June, a Repechage race takes into effect at 10:00 am, and warm-up will be 11.00 am\12.00 am. The F2 Grand Prix of Italy at 18:30 is the main race and it ends at 20 00 with the prize giving ceremony.

As per its reputation of its performance at the consistent high levels and a number of past titles in the F2 classes, Team Abu Dhabi is keen to retain the top seed and consolidate its position as one of the champions in world powerboat racing.
