The UAE shooting team has been formally included in the team of the national paralympic delegation for the much anticipated Paris 2024 Paralympic Games that will be held from 28 th august to 8 th September. This year’s event will be attended by 4,400 athletes from 23 sports this year; The UAE boasts of having 14 athletes in shooting, athletics, weightlifting, judo as well as in cycling.
The shooting squad comprised of Abdullah Sultan Al Aryani, Saif Al Nuaimi, Obaid Al Dahmani, Aisha Al Shamsi and Aisha Al Muhairi will finalise their training at Chateauroux shooting centre in central France until 31st August prior to the event.
Speaking to the team’s coach Mohammed Hussein said he had confidence with the team and was optimistic that the team would secure podium finishes. Therefore, Abdullah Sultan Al Aryani, in his fifth Paralympics, has his eyes set firmly on stretching his record including two golds from the London 2012 and Tokyo 2020 games.
Since the preparation and campaign of the UAE delegation in Paris is source of high hopes to achieve a good performance and a fruitful campaigning in Paralympic Games.
