Ahmed bin Saeed Opens GITEX GLOBAL 2024, Showcasing Global Tech Innovation

GITEX GLOBAL 2024 Highlights International Collaboration and AI-Driven Future

The event was officially opened by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and Chairman of Emirates Airline & Group at the Dubai World Trade Centre as GITEX GLOBAL celebrated its 44 year of technology exhibition. More than 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups, and visitors from over 180 countries at the exhibition confirm that Dubai is one of the key world’s technology centers.

Opening the conference, Sheikh Ahmed al Maktoum said that GITEX GLOBAL highlights the role of international cooperation in the development of technological platforms and underlined that «GITEX GLOBAL is about ideas and digitalisation of industries, which proves that UAE is focused on its mission to drive forward the global digital economy.»

The theme of this year: Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy, reflects the concept of the event which is dedicated for AI-assisted socio-economic change. The somewhat successfully implemented activity of the WFE Digital Leaders Summit, will discuss AI as an opportunity to provide $13 trillion to the global economy by the year 2030.

Particularly, AI Everything, one of the most awaited segments of the event, is dedicated to considering the advances and potential trends of AI application in various industries, while joining 3 500 enterprises, including Google, AWS, IBM, Nvidia, etc.

GITEX GLOBAL 2024 also unveils GITEX Editions, a next-generation tech ecosystem for disruptive organizations and StartUp zones, Data Centre Symposium that will focus on the AI-led automation and the evolution of data centre. GITEX has remained a platform for digital transformation and technological interaction, global participation is up by 40% this year.
