Dubai Launches Region’s First Drive-Thru Laboratory for Faster Testing

The introduction of the drive-thru laboratory system by Dubai Municipality brought the region’s first drive-thru laboratory service to the market with goals of minimizing sample testing and calibration times and improving operational efficiency. Customers now benefit from a groundbreaking approach at the Dubai Central Laboratory Department which enables sample submissions through their cars to reduce processing time to a maximum of one minute from the previous 10 minutes.

A New Era of Testing Efficiency
The drive-thru lab operates to make testing and calibrating procedures more efficient and high-quality for government and private businesses and environmental as well as health professionals and security teams and space industry clients. The service dedicates attention to accessibility by serving senior citizens together with people who have determination requirements.

The laboratory maintains security by utilizing high-performance surveillance cameras together with privacy-protection technology for processing work. The service window service improves processes which enables faster operations to support constant traffic flow no matter what time it is.

Advanced Features for Seamless Service
The unit under the leadership of Eng. Hind Mahmoud Ahmed possesses modern state-of-the-art technology which provides both international standard compliance and precise measurement capabilities at Dubai Central Laboratory. Test requests together with calibrations as well as requests for both inspection areas are projected to escalate by 30% during the initial quarter of 2025. Multiple specialized vehicles will transport various samples such as food items and consumer goods together with electromechanical devices.

The facility at the Dubai Central Laboratory complex provides a system of clear signs and designated paths and color-coded floor indicators that guide people through the complex. The facility operates from Monday to Friday between 7:30 AM and 6 PM while preparing to expand service hours depending on customer demand. Dubai strengthens its status as an innovative governing leader through the provision of multilingual customer assistance through service teams.
