Dubai Police Employs Artificial Intelligence in Police and Security Operations

New AI systems streamline processes, enhance security, and improve public services in Dubai

Enhanced Police Operations

According to the statement of Major General Khalid Nasser Alrazooqi, the Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police that this initiative would go a long way in enhancing the security of the community, in the fight against criminal incidences, and improving customer satisfaction. Driving records and factors that occur during an accident smart planning.

One is the ‘Smart Planning for Minor Traffic Accidents’ which utilizes AI to lead to accidents and provides instant report to drivers thus cutting the process of minor “Minor Accident” report to four steps from the current seven steps. Furthermore, with the use of AI, the “Vehicle History Record” is being implemented, where a would-be buyer of a car can check the accident history and mechanical state of the car in a simple way.

Using dubbing technology, the real spokesperson is the virtual officer “Amna” in Arabic and English, responding to queries related to police services through the Dubai police application. Blockchain Technology For Lost Passport Certificates

AI is further used in Dubai Police in “lost passport certificate” transactions with help of blockchain. This secure service began in 2021 and as a result, 66,413 certificates have been printed and avoiding a lot of difficulties for the customers.

Smart Police Station (SPS)

Out of them, one of the most successfully implemented projects is the Smart Police Station (SPS) that provides 46 services in 25 locations in Dubai. Having been opened in early 2024, it has served 127,515 visitors and served 36,376 transactions with proper aplomb, proving the worth of AI in revamping public facilities.
