Dubai Police Employs Artificial Intelligence in Police and Security Operations

The adopted methods of implementing AI based technologies have seen the Dubai Police General Command incorporate AI into 29 administrative processes within the departments. This step is also in line with the strategies stipulated by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and contributes to the ‘Dubai Artificial Intelligence Global Strategy,’ which aims to save time at work for employees as well as customers of the security sector while providing better security in the emirate and improving Dubai’s competitiveness and quality of life.

Enhanced Police Operations

According to the statement of Major General Khalid Nasser Alrazooqi, the Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police that this initiative would go a long way in enhancing the security of the community, in the fight against criminal incidences, and improving customer satisfaction. Out of them, one of the most successfully implemented projects is the Smart Police Station (SPS) that provides 46 services in 25 locations in Dubai. Having been opened in early 2024, it has served 127,515 visitors and served 36,376 transactions with proper aplomb, proving the worth of AI in revamping public facilities.
