Omar Al Olama, UAE’s State Minister for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy, has stressed on the country’s commitment to as usual aim for global dominance in AI as well as the digital economy. Discussing on the horizons Middle East & Africa show with Bloomberg Television, Al Olama similarly admitted the possibility of the sensitive chip technology to transfer from Middle East to China.
The minister underscored that within its proactive strategy the UAE is working on enhancing its relevance to the semiconductor industry’s development in pursuit of its goal to form the superior tech hub. Furthermore, Al Olama talked about the UAE plans on making a closer strategic partnership with Open AI further emphasizing the fact that the nation is always keen on implementing advanced artificial intelligence technologies that would help to advance innovation and boost the economy.
“Our goal is clear: For his part, Al Olama said: “This allows us to establish the UAE as the global leader across the entire spectrum of AI and digital sciences. ” ‘We are making systematic moves in the manufacture of semiconductors and are partnering with leading firms in artificial intelligence including OpenAI to realis e this vision. ”
