UAE to Partially Resume Drone Operations Starting November 25

The UAE MoI, NCEMA and GCAA have also elaborated a gradual plan of drone operation from November 25, 2020.

 

New Framework for Unmanned Aerial System Operations

 

Later in a press conference held at Abu Dhabi Police College and professionally addressed by various officials they expounded on the new framework for drone use. Those intending to use drones within their entities should refer to the UAE Drones mobile app or the official website to get the particulars of the provisions. They are a drone management portal, which starts with commercial and governance users and branches out towards hobby users in subsequent phases;

 

Critical Success Factors for Operators

 

Remotely ID’d drones: all drones have to incorporate a remote identification broadcast system into it.

The non-equipped drones captured that they can implement tracking devices offered by Etisalat.

The operations permit can be obtained by companies, government institutions and research through the use of the UAE Drones application.

It is imperative to report any related event with the use of drone through the platform containing the “Incident Report”.
