Lang Lang to Perform in Abu Dhabi: An Exclusive Interview with the World-Famous Pianist

Chinese pianist Lang Lang will bring magic to Etihad Arena this Friday and perform popular Disney tunes accompanied by classical music. In this exclusive interview prior to the big event, Lang Lang discusses his experiences, sources of creative inspiration, and the program expected at the concert.

 

A Musical Journey

It is from childhood that Lang Lang developed passion for the piano instrument. He said: “I began when I was two and one half I gave my first recital at five began to do it professionally when I was at seven after I had been defeated in a competition.” However, it did make decision and therefore priorities sharper which in turn meant they had fewer contingency plans.

When it comes to the Friday night performance this promises to be outstanding. Accompanying Lang Lang will be a 70 to 80percent eastern European orchestra his wife as a vocalist, and a childhood friend.

 

A Passion for Teaching

Apart from the scenario, Lang Lang sees purpose in education programs, master classes, and students backing through his foundation. Looking back his previous visit he said he enjoyed performing at the Loure Abu Dhabi and was able to also train young talents.
