The city of Abu Dhabi continues to provide pioneering security solutions through innovations as hotel establishments throughout the capital start implementing facial recognition technology that improves both security and guest convenience. A modern system developed by DCT Abu Dhabi in collaboration with ICP will optimize visitor check-ins and provide enhanced data security.
This new facial recognition system started its trials in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain and Al Dhafrah five-star hotels to remove traditional identification procedures. The participating hotels run biometric identity verification using encrypted data retrieved from ICP databases that operates under UAE data privacy regulations.
The implementation of this system decreases front desk waiting periods while providing better operational safety together with operational efficiency. Device training and operational support services are provided to hotel teams under this initiative to achieve integration success and quality service enhancement.
The implementation starts with four-star hotels followed by a plan to reach all hotel divisions across the region. The ongoing pilot demonstrates the Emirate’s dedication to harness innovative technology for enhancing hotel services while ensuring worldwide recognition of Abu Dhabi’s safety status.
