Under an historic deal with Elon Musk Dubai commenced development of the innovative underground Dubai Loop transport system to overcome heavy traffic in its most densely populated zones. During the World Governments Summit 2025 Omar Sultan Al Olama who serves as UAE’s Minister of AI and Digital Economy connected through video call with Tesla CEO Elon Musk to reveal the news.
The Dubai Loop development project will construct underground tunnels across the city to provide residents with fast without traffic movement. Part of the system resembles a “wormhole” within Dubai while functioning as a superior transport method against weather elements and noise compared to operating flying cars.
The state news agency WAM from the UAE verified that this initiative supports Dubai’s urban mobility framework for sustainability along with improving system transportation efficiency.
