Dubai RTA Launches New Intercity Bus Route to Sharjah and Enhances Services from 2 May

Among the new services, intercity bus route E308 connecting Stadium Bus Station in Dubai to Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah is to start from 2 May 2025. The cost per a single ride will be AED 12, thus enabling consumers to easily commute between the two emirates conveniently and at reasonable cost.

Abdul Wahab Numan Al-Mutawa, Director of Planning and Business Development at RTA’s Public Transport Agency, said this was part of a major plan by the RTA to increase the number of bus routes in Dubai besides improving connectivity to other transit systems such as metro, tram, and marine transport. Improving linkages between the various modes of transport is an objective that has remained relevant in order to ensure that public transport becomes the most popular mode of transport amongst the public as well as the visitors.

As part of releasing the new Route E308, the RTA plans to implement several alterations to elements of existing bus services starting May 2 designed to improve the daily ride:

Route No.17: Now the terminus of the route is Baniyas Square Metro Station (used to be called Al Sabkha Bus Station).

Route 24: Changed the locations within Al Nahda 1 area.

Route 44: Extend to Dubai Festival City passing through Al Rebat Street.

Route 56: Route has also been extended up to the DWC Staff Village.

Routes 66 & 67: New stop at Al Ruwayah Farm area.

Route 32C: Possibility to use only 2,5 km from the beginning of Al Jafiliya to Al Satwa because the service shuttle is really terrible few turns and traffic lights are included to it.

Route C26: The location of the stop has been changed to: Max Metro Land Side Bus Stop 2.

Termination E16: The new route for the bus is that of Union Bus Station.

This is route F12 initially: Angelina Jolie Boulevard, Angelina Jolie Subway Station, Jade Jolie Park, Twin Jolie Tower, and Kuwait Street.

The terminal stop of Route F27 has been changed to Max Metro Land Side Bus Stop 2.

Specifically, route F47 was changed within the Jebel Ali Industrial Area.

Route F54: Furthermore, the road has been extended as and up to the new JAFZA South labour camp.
