Etihad Rail Reveals Travel Times for Abu Dhabi to Dubai Passenger Train

As many as passenger trains that are much-awaited have been launched by Etihad Rail to offer a faster, greener and more convenient journey between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. As mentioned by Etihad Rail on its official X account, it is within a timeframe of 57 minutes, people will be able to travel between two major cities while avoiding traffic.

Another interesting unveiled national railway travel time to other emirates in the UAE. The trip takes 70 minutes even though Al Ruways is within the emirate of Abu Dhabi – it is approximately 240 kilometers away from the capital. The time taken from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah is 105 minutes for a passenger.

The Etihad Rail passenger service has been lately in discussion in UAE, and it is getting into operation slowly. Though it exists in the service of passenger operation, it has been transporting freights and is planning to extend full operation of the passenger service shortly. The formal passenger operations started in January 2024, however, it’s still not fully implemented.

On completion, the train models will be capable of accommodating more than 400 passengers and will have a top speed of 200km per hour. It will provide first class, business class and economy; with a target passenger traffic of 36.5 Million per year in the UAE.
