Wizz Air is to start operating direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Milan which will be good news for those using the UAE as the base as they can now easily and cheaply visit Italy’s fashion city. Daily flights between Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) to Milan Malpensa (MXP) will be launched from the 2nd of June 2025 with fares beginning at just Dhs429. This new route is being launched at the right time since it coincides with Italy’s Republic Day known as Festa della Repubblica.
This is due to people’s growing awareness of the need to protect the environment during their travels; the business has integrated the features of the Airbus A321XLR known for its fuel efficiency and sustainability into the ultra-low-cost airline. This move adds more destination to the list of Wizz Air’s important routes, given the current high demand for direct flights from Middle East to Europe.
Apart from Milan, over the last several days Wizz Air has introduced new flights to Chisinau – Moldova’s capital and the city of Cluj-Napoca in Romania. From the October 2024, the company will operate three flights per week to Chisinau and two per week to Cluj-Napoca and hence increase the number of options for passengers traveling from the UAE.
