DEWA Partners with Al Furjan Fund to Advance Dubai’s Social Agenda

DEWA has recently entered into an MoU with Al Furjan Fund for enhancing social endeavors of Dubai as per Dubai Social Agenda 33 . This initiative, launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, emphasizes “Family: The article titled “The Foundation of Our Nation,” as a response to the notions in its pursuit of improving the quality of life of the people in respective countries and residents.

‘’It was signed by Dr. Yousef Al Akraf the Executive VP of Business Support and HR at DEWA and HE Ahmed Al Bedwawi the Chairman of Al Furjan Fund, ’’ The main goal of the agreement is on developing a sustainable community plan. This partnership plays the role of supporting the wider objectives of the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 as demonstrated by DEWA’s adherence to the social and economic growth of Dubai. Dr. According to Al Akraf, partnership between DEWA and Al Furjan Fund is about enhancing the people’s engagement and coming up with services that will be beneficial to the citizens.

Another supporter of the proposed partnership was HE Ahmed Al Bedwawi, who also showed interest in the concept that this cooperation can bring to sustainable development of communities. He said that Al Furjan Fund has been initiated in consonance with the directives of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to participate with both the public and private domains to restore quality of life sustainability in residental communities.

The lest of activities to be funded under the partnership shall include education, cultural activities and recreations and, DEWA will be responsible for directing the funding. Such endeavours shall promote the concept of sustainable development and enhance the standard of living of people in Dubai through inventions like social sport, festivals and sensitization. Sports projects and seasonal events to encourage physical activities, build social capital, and act as economic enablers are also in the MoU.

Al Furjan Fund has promoted the funds for the development of community welfare, such as Bain Al Ghaf Festival in Summer Camp for Kids, and Elderly People Excursion. This MoU with DEWA demonstrates Dubai’s continuing efforts to achieve the vision of creating dynamic and sustainable neighborhoods.
