They are; Dubai has unveiled the Middle East’s first drone delivery service, which breaks the ground for the future mobility and technology market. Through the groundbreaking system, Transport seeks to transform the logistics industry so that it becomes more efficient, convenient and easily accessible in the emirate.
In the first phase, teams have been targeted to grow the drone delivery services to cover 33% of the Dubai geographical area to fit the demand of the residents and the business entities. Such a grand initiative is the result of cooperation between government institutions and stakeholders of the private sector that participated in the implementation of this project.
Dubai continues to embrace innovation especially solutions that will be of impact to people, organizations, and societies. This project is aligned to the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 which is aimed at making Dubai amongst the three preferred economies to live and work in by the year 2033. Across the world, the city has embraced innovative use of drone technology to create a smart city development model.
The ongoing advances in drone systems are most vividly demonstrated by Dubai with intent to become a trailblazer of cities of the future. Here the initiation reflects the budding theme of the city which is smarter mobility for better economics and logistics with better quality living.
In due course, a future-proof city is established for technological implementation with Dubai at the forefront of modelling technological advancement for cities to emulate.
