Dubai Premier Padel P1 Tournament Kicks Off This November at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium

First official padel tournament of the new 25-tournament ‘season’ of the Padel Tour is Dubai Premier Padel P1 which will be held in Dubai was announced under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.

The event scheduled to be held in at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium will be participated by the world’s most renowned players. The event will be organized by Gallop Global Company and will involve two fifty-six participants, playing separately for pairs of males and females, the overall sum of the prize money will be 470 thousand euros (equal to Dh1, 89 million).

Starting this year in Dubai, The Premier Padel P1 has support from the hosting agreement signed between the UAE Padel Association (UAEPA), the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Dubai Sports Council (DSC), Premier Padel & Gallop Global based in Dubai.

Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, UAEPA President, highlighted the significance of the event: “This promise from the first edition Dubai Premier Padel P1 by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor will be a boost for the organization of more events in the country Following the UAE leadership that has supported many padel events after the formal introduction of the sport in the UAE in 2013 helping in the growth of the development of the sport and infrastructures.

H. E Saeed Mohammed Hareb the Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council appreciates the progress being made upstream in Padel within the UAE and particularly in Dubai where the numbers of participants, courts and international contests has grown. “Dubai Premier Padel P1 will give the audience a new way and another chance to watch high-level competition,” he said.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), expressed gratitude for Sheikh Mansoor’s patronage: “Being pleased with Dubai’s successful hosting of sporting events, the wise leadership of the country has always backed various big international sporting events which have put the city on the international map of the premier sports and a preferred place to live, work, and tour. ”

Ivan Modia, Dubai Premier Padel P1 Tournament Director and CEO of Gallop Global, emphasized the importance of the event: “The support from His Highness speaks volumes about the endearing support of the UAE leadership to the sports industry in the UAE and the country’s plans to deliver great sporting events to the Emirates. ”
