The emirate of Dubai is yet again to witness a new architectural masterpiece added to it with the concept of the “Muraba Veil.” The new skyline’s next building is going to be an actual skyscraper; the innovative architectural project of which belongs to the Spanish architecture firm RCR Arquitectes with the development from Muraba of Dubai: the building is planned as a 73-stored, 380-meter tower. It is, however, striking in its exceptionally narrow typical width of 22.5 meters—the width of one apartment.
Muraba Veil will consist of 131 luxurious units from two to five bedroom units only. Many conveniences are also available to the residents, such as wellness spa, restaurant, gallery, padel court, private cinema and many others. However, the apartments come equipped with a high price tag which ranges from Dhs 18, 000, 000 for each apartment.
The internal structure of the building is also motivated by Arabian mornings and evenings with the help of providing some trees inside the building to make comfortable environment for living. The exterior skin has been designed as a “Veil” – perforated stainless steel that changes color with the sky and overtakes the landscape returning privacy to the inhabitants.
In an interview, Rafael Aranda –the founder of the architectural firm RCR Arquitectes that Supervised the design of the project in Dubai– highlighted that the firm paid much attention to Dubai’s culture. He said this of Muraba Veil, adding that the architectural design was to compose the building with nature and complement the environment of Dubai in culture and architectonics. While the completion of the project has not been stated, developers are eager to present an eye-popping and carefully constructed edifice.
Muraba Veil is situated along Sheikh Zayed Road, the residents will get a clear view of the tallest building in the world – The Burj Khalifa which makes the area a highly desired location in the heart of Dubai’s fast growing city.
