Dubai’s Kindness: Nine-Year-Old Adele’s Dream Visit Becomes Reality

As Adele Shestovskaya battled kidney cancer at nine years old she chose Dubai as her ultimate travel destination after admiring the city through social media. The city’s posted views on social media captured her attention since she always desired to see those places in person. The leadership of Dubai made possible her dream to come true.

A Special Welcome in Dubai
Under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who serves as Crown Prince of Dubai officials organized an extraordinary trip for Adele together with her family. His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri led the planning of this visit to provide each moment with joyous and comfortable experiences.

The arrival of Adele at Dubai International Airport met her with friendly greetings. Dubai’s travel mascots ‘Salem’ and ‘Salama’ met Adele upon her arrival while she undertook the rare opportunity of passport stamping at the children’s control counter.

A Dream Itinerary
The seascapes of Jumeirah Beach Residence greeted Adele before she started her exciting Dubai experiences. She visited a natural reserve, met wild animals, saw the futuristic exhibits at the Museum of the Future along with experiencing marine life displays at The Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis, The Palm.

Dubai’s authorities worked with Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital to prioritize Adele’s medical needs while she visited under the support of local authorities.

A Lasting Impact
The group with Lieutenant General Al Marri gathered at the end of Adele’s tour to extend their farewells. Her father Vitaly Shestovsky demonstrated deep appreciation for how hospitable Dubai had been through his statement that visiting Dubai was an unmatched lifetime experience. We will make a return journey to Finland for Adele’s medical care yet we plan to revisit this attractive and hospitable city again in the future.
