Beginning April 4 Dubai’s parking facilities under Parkin control will adjust their rates through variable pricing based on peak and off-peak times. Through variable parking pricing Dubai aims to control parking activity levels and enhance transportation movement within high traffic zones.
Peak and Off-Peak Hours Explained
The new rate structure differentiates parking costs between peak periods spanning from 8 AM to 10 AM and from 4 PM to 8 PM and off-peak periods from 10 AM to 4 PM and 8 PM to 10 PM. Such periods between 10 AM to 4 PM and 8 PM to 10 PM will retain current parking rates. There will be no parking fees during Sunday and public holiday days.

Why the Change?
The purpose of Parkin is to minimize traffic congestion in popular destinations while advancing smooth traffic operations especially around big events. Parkin had implemented Dh25 per hour premiums for exhibition center proximity spots during large-scale events.
Dubai implements these policy changes to achieve better parking management in line with its fast urban growth and expanding population.
