The expansion of Emirates’s retrofitted Boeing 777 to a number of destinations such that passengers booked for Zurich and Riyadh from October 1, 2024 will receive a boost in their travel experience. This is part of the airline’s expansion to provide its much acclaimed Premium Economy and newly reconstructed Business Class on even more routes.
The new contemporary Boeing 777 is soon set to become a part of Emirates’ fleet with the planned change of our fleet by October 1 st 2024, flying our enhanced Ek 85 and Ek 86 flights to Zurich. Riyadh will thus also witness the introduction of retrofitted aircraft on routes EK 819 and EK 820, to introduce the Middle East and GCC region to Emirates’ Premium Economy package.
Geneva is to be the first city within the Emirates network to offer the new Premium Economy Seats and revamped Business Class cabins on all its flights from September 22, 2024. These tailor made Boeing 777s were also announced to over-fly on the flights EK 89 and the EK 90 in order to deliver an improved travelling experience to the passengers.
Brussels will thus align its operations with the ones of the first retrofitted Boeing 777, which Emirates will place on the flights EK 181 and EK 182 six times weekly starting from October 9, 2024. These are part of Emirates plan to offering 28 destinations with its new Premium Economy by year end as the carrier continues with its aircraft retrofitting program.
As of now, 25 Boeing 777 have been refurnished while 17 others are planned to be refurnished by December, 2024. The four-class Boeing 777 configuration plans for 6-8 First Class Suites, 38 Business class seats arranged in a four across mode, 24 Premium economy seats in the 2-4-2 setting, and 260 Economy seats.
The redesigned Business Class entails some features such as comfort to passengers, privacy, fully flat bed, direct aisle access, mini bar, and multiple charging points. The Premium Economy cabin contains 19. Extra-wide 5 inch seats made of cream leather, a 38 inch pitch, and a new service offering, specifically in-flight dining which is borrowed from the Business Class.
