The Cirrus SR22 — known as the "Personal Navigator" — is central to the academy's training programme. It has a range of approximately 1,943 kilometres and a top speed of 183 knots (340 km/h).

Second Cirrus Incident at the Academy in Under a Year
This is not the first time a Cirrus aircraft has been involved in an incident at Emirates Flight Training Academy. A comparable event occurred in October 2023, also involving a Cirrus model, and also resulted in no injuries. Investigators carried out a thorough review following that earlier incident.
The academy has stated it continues to uphold the highest safety standards across all of its training programmes.
