Global Village Season 30 Set to Dazzle Dubai With Skydivers, Drones, and a “More Wonderful World”

Dubai’s Global Village is preparing to open its gates on October 15 at 6 PM, marking a major milestone — its 30th anniversary season under the theme “A More Wonderful World.” For three decades, this beloved destination has been a melting pot of cultures, cuisines, and entertainment, and this year’s grand opening promises to be its most spectacular yet.

Visitors can expect a dazzling display of colour, music, light, and technology, as the new season celebrates Global Village’s legacy of connecting the world through culture and creativity. From skydivers and drones to upgraded attractions and immersive pavilions, Season 30 will blend nostalgia with innovation to create an unforgettable experience for residents and tourists alike.

A spectacular opening night

The celebrations begin with the Parade of the World, a high-energy procession featuring Retumbar street drummers and performers representing Global Village’s diverse pavilions. The night sky will come alive with a drone and pyrotechnic show, forming a glowing “30” and illuminating the park with the season’s message — A More Wonderful World.

Adding to the thrill, wing-suited skydivers will perform a breathtaking aerial display, leaving trails of fire and light as they soar over the park. Guests can also enjoy live cultural and stage performances from around the world, followed by a laser show at Dragon Lake that transforms water and fire into a mesmerizing visual symphony.

At 9 PM, a fleet of 600 drones will unveil welcome messages, followed by a grand fireworks finale to officially kick off the new season.

New attractions and upgraded experiences

Season 30 introduces several new attractions designed to delight families and thrill-seekers alike:

  • Gardens of the World – A peaceful green escape between the Egypt and Iran pavilions, perfect for family strolls and photos.

  • The Dragon Kingdom – A walk-through interactive adventure where guests help Ignis, the last dragon, reclaim his magical powers through 11 themed rooms.

  • The Little Wonderers at Carnaval – A multi-level neon-lit play zone featuring slides, obstacle courses, and climbing challenges for children.

  • Wayfinding & S30 Passports – New digital navigation screens and collectible pavilion stamps enhance the visitor experience.

The park’s iconic Dragon Lake now features a clearer underwater screen, advanced fire effects, and upgraded lighting for evening performances. Main Stage productions have also been enhanced with larger seating areas and world-class audio-visual systems.

Expanded zones and food experiences

Guests will discover a host of new street expansions and culinary delights this year. The Sharjah and Abu Dhabi entrances feature redesigned arches and a themed Sharjah Tunnel, while the expanded Fiesta Street now offers more than 200 dining options, including a brand-new Dessert District and Happiness Street Canopy.

Asia Boulevard returns with a stronger focus on authentic cuisine and cultural diversity, offering street food and traditional crafts from across the continent.
