Journalists’ Efforts Celebrated at Arab Media Award 2024 in Dubai

Dubai: The latest version of Arab Media Award was on Tuesday rewarding journalists and the digital media platforms and TV programs in the distinguished ceremony that took place in Dubai, Arab Media Forum.

This year’s Award was 23rd edition and the occasion was graced by the Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who is the Chairman of Dubai Sports Council. This event took place in accordance with the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime-Minister of UAE and the Ruler of Dubai.

Celebrating Excellence in Media

It has been held on the first day of the 22nd AMF held under the umbrella of the Arab Media Summit organised by DPC, the General Secretariat of the Award. This turnout of media professionals self perpetuates the importance of media in sustaining society’s values and heritage.

Remarks on the Day of the Inauguration as Well as Possible Goals for the Future

Dubai Media Forum was officially opened by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council where he said that Dubai is proud of supporting the media segment.

“Casting an eye on the vision and directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, we aspire to further improve Dubai’s position in establishing partnerships that would enable media to perform its mission and social role in the interest of our nation. In the further future, we are to prepare for media to continue playing its role in educating new generations regarding our heritage as well as enforcing the spirit of our historical and cultural values,” Sheikh Ahmed

Fostering Unity and Growth

Sheikh Ahmed also stressed that the forum is useful for demonstration of the media sector as the promising business and giving an opportunity to the region meet its future dreams. In doing so he stressed on how the media of Arab countries has gradually oriented the Arab dialogue in the positive direction that aims at establishing new channels of cooperation through various fields. All of these efforts aim to promote the cooperative processes that enhance joint prospects for the Arab region’s comprehensive development.

The head of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority also expressed her support heading the event, as the Chairperson of Dubai Culture and the Member of the Executive Council of Dubai, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
