Eid Al Adha 2024 Prayer Timings and Celebrations in UAE

Eid Al Adha is one of the biggest Islamic festivals of the year, and in the year 2024, this b Normative Eid Al Adha will be observed on Sunday 16 June 2024. the holiday comes after the day of Arafah only and this will give those in the UAE a long weekend break between June 15th Saturday to June 18th Tuesday. It involves offering prayers, family reunion, and sharing of meals especially drinking of sorghum beer.

Abu Dhabi:
• City: 5:50 AM

Celebration Details:
During Eid, Muslims wear their clean and best clothes undertaking the Eid Salah shortly after dawn in a mosque or an open space known as a musallah. These praying areas open early with the time for the Fajr prayer being inaugurative of the day’s activities and the Eid takbir continuing to the start of the special prayer.

Eid Prayer:
One of the rituals performed in the Eid prayer is the ‘takbirah’, which is an invocation and also a congregational act of worship and the prayer itself consists of two rak’ah’s. He guides the worshippers with the performance of multiple takbir in the pre-recitation and during the recitation of Surah Fatiha and another surah from the Holy Quran. Two sermon, one leads to the final benediction and attendees can listen to before hugging and starting the day’s celebrations.

Eid Al Adha is not only a ritual but a religious event and therefore a way through which Muslims come together to celebrate with prayers. These timings enable the Muslims to involved in the special prayers in the religious places of different emirates and hence, celebrate it in a unity, enthusiastically.
