What To Know

  • Globally, LG Channels already operates in 33 countries and offers more than 4,000 live channels, positioning it as one of the largest free TV ecosystems linked to a smart TV brand.
  • LG says the UAE rollout strengthens its digital ecosystem in the region and reflects its global push to offer free content directly through LG Smart TVs, without external devices or added costs.
  • The launch follows LG’s first public demo at K-Expo in Dubai’s Global Village, where visitors were able to try the platform on webOS, experience interactive booths, and explore the free streaming features.

LG Channels is designed to be plug-and-play. Users only need to turn on their LG Smart TV, press the Home button, open the LG Channels app, and start streaming instantly. The platform features a large catalog of live channels, fan-favorite movies, and exclusive shows in both Arabic and English, giving viewers 24/7 access to entertainment at zero cost.

The channel list includes well-known international and regional names such as Bloomberg, Euronews, Zee Alwan, Zee Aflam, Smashi TV, Lovin TV, and eight FAST channels from WATCH IT, covering genres like news, sports, kids, lifestyle, documentaries, and movies. More channels are expected to be added over time, as LG expands its content partnerships.

LG customized the service for the UAE audience, introducing a localized interface with right-to-left support for Arabic menus, alongside English navigation. The launch follows LG’s first public demo at K-Expo in Dubai’s Global Village, where visitors were able to try the platform on webOS, experience interactive booths, and explore the free streaming features.

This launch marks the first phase in LG’s MENA expansion strategy, with more Middle Eastern markets expected to gain access soon.
