RAK Ruler Honours Winners of Ras Al Khaimah Award for Educational Excellence

He pointed out that it is incumbent on any society and nation to take excellence and innovation in education as key foundations on which progress and enhanced economic growth are built on especially H. H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.

Education is the most important tool that is needed for the state of Ras Al Khaimah in ensuring that it becomes a knowledge based and a competitive economy, according to sheikh Saud in a ceremony in which more than 60 institutions received the Ras Al Khaimah Award for Educational Excellence. He said that quality enhancement in education increases quality standards of individuals and societies and thus established firm cardinal points for long-term continuum of the present and the future generations.

Sheikh Saud Al Qasimi said, “the increase in investment and improvement of education and its competitive index for the UAE and Ras Al Khaimah is the primary priority of educational development as a locomotive of the country’s all-round development and the guideline of economic and efficient investments in the educational reformation and the Making of nations and countries excellent. ”

He also observed that this requires the use of the best practices and policies that are obtained from other countries as well as the promotion of innovation and creative thinking programs. Fueling such initiatives encourages the youth to maintain the spirit of innovation and create new ideas that define the future.

Thus, the Ras Al Khaimah Award for Educational Excellence has been launched in 2014 to build a culture and appreciation of the educational innovations. The award helps educational institutions put into practice the main principles of the international standards of quality and inspires teachers, students, and all participants of the educational process in Ras Al Khaimah.
