Sharjah is preparing for the launch of the upcoming Sharjah Lights Festival 2025, while 12 areas in the emirate will be turned into different colored lights. Speaking at a press conference in Dubai, Mr. Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, the Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority said that the festival will be the 14th edition of the Luminous Light Festival will have theme of ‘Lights Unite Us” with new ideas, technologies and experiences to showcase to visitors.
As with previous years, the festival will be a display of arts in which each place is a story plus the aesthetic value that comes with the festival. This event range from architectural projections, interactive” light art performances to performances, which will engage young and old.
In addition, over 70 S&MEs will be exhibited under the Lights Village that has been developed to include artistic light ambiance that well-articulate the local culture.
Al Midfa expressed his satisfaction on the fact that the Sharjah Lights Festival is still developing and now joins more sophisticated technologies to light up everyone’s nights. They all focus on narration, and every lit space will provide the viewer with a unique view on Sharjah as a cultural center of the Middle East and a city with cutting-edge technologies.
It has become an event to look forward to not only by the people in Sharjah, the emirate’s identity as the capital of culture and arts has been further enhanced by the festival. As people look forward to it, they can prepare for various exciting events mixing light, art and innovation in the UAE’s downtown.
