Ministry of Foreign Affairs also joined the nation in celebrating UAE Flag Day on 3 rd November which is a day to the Emiratis as it represents patriotism and loyalty. The occasion is in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, Ruler of Dubai for flying the UAE flag across federal and government establishments in the country. :, To increase the UAE society cohesion and the relationship between the citizens and the rulers it has been commemoration for every year in UAE.
The Head of the ceremony was Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, who hoisted the UAE flag at the main mast during the MoFA in Abu Dhabi. He was accompanied by other top officials who included Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi Minister of state, Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh Minister of state and Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan; Minister of state. Other officials present included Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, the Under Secretary of MoFA, assistant ministers for international organisations and resources development, international trade and investment, health and human resources, and security and safety of citizens. The event comprised personnel of MoFA.
It gave the participants an opportunity to show their patriotism and pledged to defend the sovereignty of the country besides embracing Emirati cultures. Such a message was highlighted during the flag-raising ceremony as a clear signal that the UAE people are equally committed to engineering the country’s progress with positive energy and passion for change.
Even the UAE embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions all over the world held activities to commemorate the said event with special flying of the UAE flag in support to the country. Consuls as well as ambassadors also observed this day to remind the rest of the international community of the UAE’s principles of unity, pride, and commitment to national development.
