The will be new petrol prices for November released by the UAE’s Fuel Price Committee this week, after a series of price cuts that have seen fuel costs at their lowest since February this year. In October, the adjustment range was much lower – 8-9% for Super 98, Special 95, and E-Plus 91 gasoline and 6.5% for diesel.
In January 2024 E-Plus 91 was set at AED 2.64 per litre and this has come down to AED 2.47 per litre and Special 95 and Super 98 are below the level of the January index, standing at AED 2.54 and AED 2.66, respectively. While diesel that used to be sold at AED 3.00 per litre was sold at AED 2.60 per litre.
The following were October’s fuel prices:
- Super 98: 5.23 (from 5.85 in September)
- Special 95: AED 2.54 (compared to AED 2.78 last month).
- E-Plus 91: Litre 40 AED 2.47 (low than the prices in September 40 AED 2.71).
- Diesel: Forex 1.37 (It has been moderately reduced from 1.37 in September)
Following the COVID-19 price slash, pump prices have been reviewed on monthly basis based on oil volatility after the abolishment of the price cap in March 2021. This form of pricing structure makes the price of fuel in UAE to be market competitive by integrating some of the fluctuating crude oil prices.
That’s it for October, do not miss November’s prognosis as UAE fuel prices show the tendency of global oil market prices.
