UAE Petrol Prices Drop Sharply in April 2025

National fuel prices for all petrol categories in the UAE decreased substantially during April 2025 to become the largest cuts observed during the last three years.

New Petrol Prices for April 2025
The price adjustments for all fuel categories take effect from April 1 as follows:

E-Plus 91: AED2.38 per litre (down from AED2.54 in March)

Special 95: AED2.46 per litre (down from AED2.61 in March)

Super 98: AED2.57 per litre (down from AED2.73 in March)

Diesel: AED2.63 per litre (down from AED2.77 in March)

E-Plus 91 gas costs AED2.96 and diesel sells for AED3.09 during April 2024 but the current rates show a substantial year-over-year drop.

Why Are Petrol Prices Dropping?
Monthly adjustment of petrol prices in the UAE occurs through decisions made by the UAE Fuel Price Committee based on worldwide crude oil market trends. The fuel prices in February 2025 resulted in an increased rate but the March rates showed a subsequent decrease.

Global oil prices have decreased due to combined elements of economic trends and international market conditions.

Impact on UAE Residents
Ongoing low fuel prices since three years back create savings potential for residents together with businesses who use fuel for their operations including transportation and logistics.

Prior to 2021 petrol costs in the UAE remained unchanged throughout the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic although ties to worldwide oil price movements accepted after the pandemic’s end. The current fuel price drop creates consumer benefits throughout April 2025 because of ongoing fuel market uncertainties.
