UAE petrol prices for April 2025 have fallen across every fuel grade — the steepest month-on-month cuts the country has seen in three years. The UAE Fuel Price Committee announced the new rates effective April 1, 2025, with reductions driven by falling global crude oil prices.
New UAE Petrol Prices for April 2025
All four fuel categories are cheaper from April 1:
| Fuel Grade | April 2025 | March 2025 | Change | |---|---|---|---| | E-Plus 91 | AED 2.38/litre | AED 2.54/litre | ▼ AED 0.16 | | Special 95 | AED 2.46/litre | AED 2.61/litre | ▼ AED 0.15 | | Super 98 | AED 2.57/litre | AED 2.73/litre | ▼ AED 0.16 | | Diesel | AED 2.63/litre | AED 2.77/litre | ▼ AED 0.14 |
Year-on-Year Drop Is Even More Striking
Compared to April 2024, the savings are substantial. E-Plus 91 stood at AED 2.96 per litre and diesel at AED 3.09 per litre a year ago — meaning drivers are now paying roughly 58–46 fils less per litre than they were twelve months ago.
Why Are UAE Petrol Prices Falling?
The UAE adjusts fuel prices monthly through the UAE Fuel Price Committee, which tracks global crude oil market trends. February 2025 saw a slight uptick in rates, and March brought a modest decrease — but April's cuts are the most pronounced in three years.
The broader drop reflects a combination of weakening global demand signals and shifting international market dynamics that have pushed crude prices lower.
What This Means for UAE Residents and Businesses
Lower fuel prices translate directly into savings for the millions of UAE residents who drive daily, as well as for logistics companies, taxi fleets, and businesses that rely on road transport. At the current rates, filling a 60-litre tank with Special 95 costs roughly AED 147.60 — around AED 9 less than it did in March.
Before 2021, UAE petrol prices were held flat throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Since liberalisation, they have tracked global oil movements — and April 2025 represents one of the clearest consumer benefits of that policy since the pandemic era ended.
