UAE Weather Forecast: Fair Weather with Humidity and Blowing Dust Expected from August 14-18, 2024

  • Sustained wind will be light to moderate in nature, strictly from the sea-breeze, from the southeasterly to northeasterly direction with gusts ranging from 30-40 km per hour and that could cause dust and sand lifts up in the northern and eastern parts of the country.
  • During the whole period, wind will be light to moderate, increasing gradually, changing direction from southeasterly in the early part of the week to northeasterly in the middle part of the week, with occasional gusts up to 35 km/hr.
  • It is a fair-weather start to the week and this holds for most parts of the UAE but there are expectations of partly cloudy skies over the eastern parts of the UAE early in the morning.

The climate outlook of the National Center of Meteorology in the UAE has provided details that the expectation of climate in UAE Weather from Wednesday, August 14, to Sunday, August 18, 2024. The week will be relatively warm with little or no rain in parts though there will be clouds at times and variations in humidity and wind rates.

Wednesday, August 14:
It is a fair-weather start to the week and this holds for most parts of the UAE but there are expectations of partly cloudy skies over the eastern parts of the UAE early in the morning. Clouds are likely to build up during the afternoon over the eastern and southern parts of the area. During the whole period, wind will be light to moderate, increasing gradually, changing direction from southeasterly in the early part of the week to northeasterly in the middle part of the week, with occasional gusts up to 35 km/hr. The sea conditions will be slight in the Arabian Gulf, slightly moderate in the Oman Sea during the afternoon.

Thursday, August 15:
Thursday will be similar to Wednesday; fine, and dry weather is expected across all regions in the country. It may be partly cloudy over the East coast in the morning, and the eastern portions of the country may develop clouds in the afternoon. Wind will change gradually from light to moderate southeasterly to northwesterly with tendency to occasional gust occurring with blowing dust particularly over the exposed portions of the country. The wind velocities will vary between 10 to 25 km/hr with instances of velocities up to 35 km/hr. It will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.

Friday, August 16:
It will be humid and warm because of the rain during the night and the weekend along the coast, mist may develop in the morning. The day will be generally fine with variable low stratus over the eastern coast. It will remain mostly windy to slightly unsettled, that winds will start from the southeast and end up as northwest with gusts that create dust storms. Once more, the wind speeds will be as high as 35 km/hr. Weather and sea conditions will be ‘sleight to moderate’ for the area of the Arabian Gulf as well as the Oman Sea.

Saturday, August 17:
Saturday will be humid again, even more, in the coastal and internal regions as compared to Friday, there will be a probability of fog or mist in the morning. The day will be generally pleasant though outbreak of low cloud across the east coastal region may be expected. Sustained wind will be light to moderate in nature, strictly from the sea-breeze, from the southeasterly to northeasterly direction with gusts ranging from 30-40 km per hour and that could cause dust and sand lifts up in the northern and eastern parts of the country. The sea will be slight to moderate being rough at times both in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Sunday, August 18:
This is followed by almost similar conditions to what is being experienced on Saturday, with humidity in the morning and a probable formation of mist in the coastal and internal parts of the country. The day will be rather warm and sunny, though some clouds may be observed in the eastern and southern parts of the region in the afternoon. There will be light to moderate winds with possibility of gusts to 40 kW, which might bring blowing dusts and sand. Weather and sea waves will remain as slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea with, rough occasionally in the same areas.

People are encouraged to follow the weather developments, especially the ones who go outside or travel since the weather may differ and affect the visibility or the temperature.
