Although people in the UAE will not witness the weather of ‘White Christmas’ the cooler climates are allowing people to enjoy outdoor activities. However, people who intend to strike a Christmas Eve or Christmas Day out with their family members should be ready to dance in the rain especially for such areas.

Christmas Eve Weather

The weather on the Christmas eve shall be mainly Fabpartly cloudy all over the UAE. Those planning to move around coastal region or to the islands should best happen to have an umbrella with them since probabilities of light rains cannot be ruled out. This week’s forecast for the Abu Dhabi is to be 24ºC while Dubai is to be 25ºC, the temperature dropping as low as 16ºC at night. For those going up the mountains, it is advised they dress for cooler weather, with mercury dipping to as low as 5ºC.

High humidity during the night and in the early morning of Wednesday has also been predicted by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) for some internal regions. Wind will be gentle to moderate at times, and occasionally strong increasing winds from 10 kmph to 40 kmph. The sea state of the Arabian Gulf will be SW–S slight to moderate at times becoming rough while Oman Sea will be S slight.

Christmas Day Weather

According to the NCM, there will be deeper showers over coastal, Northern and Eastern regions, and as a result residents in Abu Dhabi and Dubai should pack an umbrella on Christmas Day. Temperatures will remain stable at 24¼C and 16½¼C respectively for the day and night respectively.

Relative air humidity will increase at night and on Thursday morning, and fog may develop in sheltered areas. Winds will be between 10 kmph to 35 kmph in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea and sea will remain slight to moderate.
