To serving the amnesty seeking Bangladeshi nationals in Al Awir, consular general of Bangladesh to Dubai has opened a help desk. On 05th September 2024 Consul General BM Jamal Hossain and other officials of the Consulate met with the authorities at Al Awir immigration centre to assess the services being offered to the people seeking help under the amnesty program being implemented by the UAE.
While in Dubai, Hossain called on Lt. Gen. Mohammad Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) and thanked him for the unending services towards the expatriate Bangladeshies. Al Marri called Bangladeshi holders to use this opportunity seriously and advised the community members to bring all the documentations to during the application time.
Besides meeting the amnesty service seekers at the newly set up ‘Bangladesh Help Desk’ Consul General Hossain also met the delegates of 18 organizations which directly provide jobs to the seekers at the centre. This endeavour is intended for availing new employment for the Bangladeshi nationals during their transition.
This makes the process easy and efficient for the Bangladeshi community willing to settle in the UAE since the help desk is there to guide the people accordingly.
