The emirate of Dubai has now opened the biggest visa application centre in the world which can process up to 10,000 application requests each day, strengthening its position in the worlds of business and international travel.
At Wafi City, VFS Global has a huge flagship Visa Application Centre staffed by more than 400 trained personnel from different countries who help over 200 nationalities with their visa applications.
With this initiative, the Al Dafrah Emirati will help Dubai reach its D33 goals to double its economy during the next ten years. The new centre reflects Dubai’s modern and futuristic achievements in how it delivers its services, according to officials.
Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of the Department of Economy and Tourism, said: “Reaching this major achievement increases global access, helps our guests and business sectors and enhances Dubai’s links to the rest of the world.”
Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, the Director-General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs, commended the centre, saying that it reflects the UAE’s commitment to smart government.
Zubin Karkaria, VFS Global’s founder, stressed the strong link the company has to Dubai since it opened in 2004. We are proud to support Dubai’s progress into a major global center for business, tourism and progress by launching the world’s largest Visa Application Centre.
Because of these decisions, the centre will draw more talent, support tourism growth and enhance cooperation with other nations, making it easier for residents, tourists and business people to apply for visas.
The launch strengthens Dubai’s title as a city at the forefront of change, thanks to its advanced infrastructure and simple paths to global destinations.
