UAE Residents Can Invite Friends and Relatives with 90-Day Visa Option

Today, residents of the UAE have a possibility to invite friends and relatives to stay for a longer time – up to 90 days within the frameworks of the Friend or Relative Visa service of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security.

This visa service is available with single and multiple entries at liberal stay periods of 30/60/90 days. The visa allows entry within 60 days from the time it was issued; the extension can be sought within the country.

The process of the application is simple to fill and complete since the resident can apply through the authority’s online platform or their appropriate mobile application with their digital ID, then select the required visa, option and duration, as well as confirm the entries made.

Applicants are required to meet certain stringent conditions such as carrying an internationally valid passport that should have at least六 months’ validity, air ticket and valid medical insurance and being a friend or a relative of a first or second degree to a UAE citizens or residents. Besides this, the inviting resident must be holding first or second level job classification as per the authority.

The authority’s director-general Maj-Gen Suhail Saeed Al Khaili added that the goal of the endeavor is to improve socially related connections through Family Reunification and Building up Relations. He also touched on the topic of visa which UAE having already expand the visa system to make the country welcoming for tourists.

The authority also noted that specific durations of visitors’ visas would be strictly upheld, adding that administrative consequences on subjects include overstaying or not exiting the country within the duration allowed by the visa.

This comes in line with UAE vision to encourage families and friends to spend more time together and also as part of UAE lifestyle and investment promotions.
