The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture confirmed significant precipitation was recorded between 9 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday across eight regions: Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Aseer, Tabuk, Jazan, Najran, and Al-Baha.
According to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM), Madinah topped the rainfall measurements at 37.4mm. Madinah Airport followed closely at 35.2mm, while the Haram recorded 27.6mm within the same window.
Other significant readings included Yalamlam in Makkah at 17.4mm and Al-Leith Dam at 8mm. In Al-Baha, Bilkhazmar and Al Mandaq recorded 28.6mm, while Uqlat Al Saqoor in Qassim registered 1.8mm.
Civil Defense Safety Warnings
In response to the heavy Saudi Arabia rainfall, the Director General of Civil Defense issued an alert warning residents of the dangers of swimming in waterlogged areas and crossing valleys following rain.
Both citizens and residents were urged to follow safety protocols disseminated through official media and social media channels to protect their lives during the adverse weather conditions.
Authorities particularly cautioned against venturing into flood-prone valleys and low-lying areas, which can fill rapidly with fast-moving water even when rain appears to have subsided upstream.
