100% of Tips Go Directly to Captains

Careem confirmed that 100% of customer tips, including the matched amount, will go directly to Captains. Funds are transferred instantly to their Careem Pay account, allowing immediate access or transfer to a bank account.

The initiative is designed to support Captains who continue working while fasting during the Holy Month. According to the company, the campaign reflects Ramadan’s values of generosity, community and support.

Additional Ramadan Support

Beyond the tip matching programme, Careem and Hala Taxi will distribute daily Iftar meals to Captains across the UAE. This ensures those breaking their fast while on duty can access warm meals during working hours.
