flydubai has announced the launch of two daily flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK), strengthening tourism and business travel links between Dubai and Thailand.
The new service will commence on September 15, 2026, ahead of the winter travel season. The double-daily schedule is expected to improve connectivity for passengers travelling from the GCC, Europe and other regions through Dubai, offering greater flexibility and smoother one-stop connections across Southeast Asia.
Dubai–Bangkok Flight Schedule and Route Details
The new Bangkok flights will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport to Don Mueang International Airport, one of Bangkok’s two main international gateways.
Key highlights:
-
Two daily flights in each direction
-

-

-
Launch date: September 15, 2026
With this addition, flydubai will increase its Thailand operations to 28 weekly flights. Bangkok becomes the airline’s second Thai destination after Krabi, reinforcing Southeast Asia as a strategic growth market.
The flights will operate under the existing codeshare partnership with Emirates, allowing passengers to book single itineraries with through check-in for baggage and coordinated schedules.
Boost for Dubai–Thailand Tourism
The new double-daily service is expected to strengthen tourism flows between Dubai and Bangkok.
From Dubai, travellers gain easier access to Bangkok’s cultural landmarks, street food markets, temples, shopping districts and onward island destinations. Don Mueang’s location north of central Bangkok also offers convenient access to regional connections across Thailand.
In the opposite direction, Thai travellers and visitors connecting via Bangkok will benefit from improved access to Dubai’s beach resorts, desert experiences, theme parks and global shopping events.
Industry observers note that increased flight frequency often encourages shorter city breaks and repeat visits, rather than one-off long-haul trips.
Strengthening Dubai as a Global Aviation Hub
The Bangkok route further enhances Dubai’s role as a global aviation hub linking Europe and the GCC with Southeast Asia.
Flydubai now serves more than 135 destinations. Through its partnership with Emirates, passengers gain access to a combined network of more than 240 global destinations, with integrated schedules and shared use of Terminal 3 at Dubai International.
The dual-airport presence in Bangkok — with flydubai operating to Don Mueang and Emirates serving Suvarnabhumi — expands travel options for passengers while increasing flexibility for business and leisure travellers.
Business and Leisure Travel Appeal
The Bangkok route will offer both Economy Class and Business Class cabins. The double-daily pattern provides flexibility for business travellers scheduling meetings across time zones, while leisure travellers benefit from flight times aligned with hotel check-ins and tour departures.
Don Mueang Airport also serves as a key base for regional carriers, making it ideal for multi-destination trips across Thailand and neighbouring countries.
Economic Impact and Regional Growth
Increased seat capacity between Bangkok and Dubai is expected to benefit hotels, tour operators, retail sectors and MICE industries in both markets. Tourism stakeholders anticipate stronger visitor flows from high-spending GCC and European travellers into Thailand, while Dubai’s visitor economy may see greater arrivals from Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Flydubai leadership stated that growing demand from Thailand influenced the decision to introduce double-daily services, reflecting sustained interest in travel between the two cities.
From mid-September 2026, the new Dubai–Bangkok route is set to strengthen economic ties, enhance tourism exchange and provide greater travel flexibility for passengers across both regions.
