Qatar to Test Air Taxi, Electric Delivery Planes in Early 2025

Initiative Aims to Boost Sustainable Air Mobility and Achieve Qatar National Vision 2030 Goals

What To Know

  • One of the first tests is planned for early 2025 of electric air taxis and electric delivery planes in line with the vision of an intermodal mobility system in Qatar by the Ministry of Transport.
  • This strategy is envisaged to explore and implement advanced air mobility technologies and Artificial Intelligence for transforming the transportation sector and improve the public transit by integrating, sustainable and environmentally-friendly transportation.
  • It is worth mentioning that the project fully complies with the Third Qatar National Development Strategy (NDS3) since it pursues the development of the country based on the use of advanced technologies for sustainable development of the national economy and diversity and strives to ensure Qatar’s leadership in this area by achieving the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030 in the field of transportation.

Doha, Qatar: One of the first tests is planned for early 2025 of electric air taxis and electric delivery planes in line with the vision of an intermodal mobility system in Qatar by the Ministry of Transport.

Further approvals and communication with the concerned Qatari organizations to allow these test runs are constantly in action.

This strategy is envisaged to explore and implement advanced air mobility technologies and Artificial Intelligence for transforming the transportation sector and improve the public transit by integrating, sustainable and environmentally-friendly transportation.

It is worth mentioning that the project fully complies with the Third Qatar National Development Strategy (NDS3) since it pursues the development of the country based on the use of advanced technologies for sustainable development of the national economy and diversity and strives to ensure Qatar’s leadership in this area by achieving the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030 in the field of transportation.
