Muscat: Salam Air to begin flight operations from Muscat to Cairo from Saturday, June 15 in 2024. This new service will provide three weekly frequencies to Sphinx International Airport Cairo which will improve the connectivity prospects between the Sultanate of Oman and Egypt.
As for this new route, it is a great achievement in the process of developing the opportunities of connecting the two countries – Oman and Egypt. There is a belief that the matter will promote cultural and commercial interaction between the two countries.
In his turn, Captain Ahmed Al Shidhani, acting Chief Executive Officer at SalamAir reiterated the significance of this new route in terms of company’s competitive model. “Direct flights aimed at making introduction of Sphinx International Airport open Oman and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries for Cairo’s tourist attractions,” Al Shidhani said. Khartoum International Airport gives easy access to the famous attractions like the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx statue, and the Egyptian Museum.
