Saudi Arabia Introduces 90-Day E-Visas for Esports World Cup 2024 Ticket Holders

Kingdom Aims to Boost Tourism and Gaming Industry with Streamlined Visa Process for Major Esports Event

Saudi Arabia is ready for issuance of 90-day electronic visas (e-visas) to the holders of the tickets of Esports World Cup 2024 with the aim of increasing the scope of tourism and gaming sector in KSA. This project intended by the Esports World Cup Foundation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Tourism can facilitate the entrance of the attendees to the event.

Indeed, the Esports World Cup will be held in Riyadh for the first time starting from July 3 to August 25 for eight weeks. Webo, the single entry one hundred and eighty day visa can be secured from the “Saudi Visa” national visa service as well as the Esports World Cup which has more information and application forms.

The event will take place at Boulevard Riyadh City and will initiatives that include sports and rigorous exercises alongside games and interactive sessions, information and knowledge enhancement, creativity and skill development, and cultural displays, which will appeal to all the members of the families. More than 1,500 players from 500 first division clubs of the world will participate in 22 tournaments with huge cash incentives adding up to more than $60 million, the largest ever in this industry.

This initiative supports the National Gaming and Esports Strategy, directed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to place Saudi Arabia among the leading gaming and e-sports countries. Besides, it aims at increasing visitors’ arrival rates, developing new economic streams, as well as branching out potentially lucrative fields to meet the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives.

Through the announcement of hosting the Esports World Cup and through the providing of e-visas necessary for the Esports Federation’s association with Saudi Arabia, it is important to realize that gaming and esports are crucial in bridging societies and pushing global connectivity.
