UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was represented by H. H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah who departed to Astana, Kazakhstan to head the UAE delegation to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation SCO Summit.
That is why, the topic of the two-day summit providing in Kazakhstan is “Strengthening Multilateral Dialogue – the Pursuit of Sustainable Peace and Development” scheduled for July 3rd to July 4th. The summit is attended by leaders of member states, presidents or prime ministers, and representatives of the regional and global institutions.
The UAE is attending the meeting following the SCO officially admitting it as a “Dialogue Partner” during the organization’s meetings in India last year.
H. H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi will be joined by Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, other dignitaries also.
Upon his arrival at Astana International Airport, H. H. which was accompanied by Zhaslan Madiyev, the Minister of the Digital Affairs of Kazakhstan, Mohamed Saeed Alariqi the UAE Ambassador to Kazakhstan and other officials needing no introduction.
Formally recognized on June 15, 2001, as a permanent intergovernmental international organization, the SCO seeks the enhancement of mutual trust and cooperation, friendly relations and neighborsly cooperation amongst the member countries. It fosters efficiency in political relations, business, marriages, economical growth, science and technology, art and culture, education, energy, transport, tourism, environmental conservation, and many other aspects and activities and at the same time enhancing rapid peace, security and stability in the region.
