Your Emirates ID is the most important card for life in UAE, required to open a bank account, obtain various perks and discounts. More than you would think, this legal requirement holds more information than it seems.
The Emirates ID has nine security features according to ICP (Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security) making it extremely difficult to fake. Additionally, fingerprint biometrics have been added for extra safety measures.

- Full name
- Passport data
- Job title
- Two finger prints

- Mother’s first name and her nationality.
- Sponsor’s name and its nationality.
- Sponsor No.
- Sponsor type: individual or company).
- Marital status (single/married/divorced/widow(er))
- No. Of children in family,
- Town No.(only for UAE nationals),
- Type of residence (building/villa…),
- Residence no., etc.
